The Surgeon General's Call to Action to Support Breastfeeding offers steps for communities, workplaces, childcare agencies, hospitals, health care providers, and public health professionals to make breastfeeding attainable and easier. Most mothers want—and try—to breastfeed. Unfortunately, a mother's interest alone is not always enough to make breastfeeding possible.
